RESOLVED:

(1) That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

update on complaint no. sbc 012/11

The Chairman explained that this matter had been considered by the Sub-Committee on 18 August 2011, where the decision had been taken to refer it to the Monitoring Officer to investigate whether there had been a breach of the Code of Conduct. Since then, as requested by the Sub-Committee, evidence had been obtained to assist the Sub-Committee in considering whether the identity of the complainant should be withheld from the subject member.

RESOLVED:

(1) That there were reasonable grounds, within the evidence supplied, that the identity of the complainant be withheld from the subject member.
